What came in the post
Catching up with old features from the Fall of 2009. I had two works featured in the Colourmania book (My book from 2006, ‘Trost’, on the left).
Also my textile design ‘Little Boy’ was featured in Design Indaba magazine, South Africa.

The Guardian
I have received from The Guardian newspaper some copies of the supplement I illustrated for them. Seven artists, each did one. They wanted the illustrations in black and blue like in my book, The Celebration.

The Celebration
I have signed a contract for publication of ‘The Celebration’ in a third language. I will give more information when the time comes. If published, it will be released later this year.
The Last Match in Lisbon
An exhibition organized by the KUS anthology - in which I participated - is in Lisbon now. The task was to draw on a little card the size of a matchbox. With a tiny hole, all artworks are hung by a matchstick. (Artist list below) “Matchstick, walking cane”

A New Start
I ended last year with a job for The Guardian and the kick-off of the filming for ‘O Hóspede’. This is the title of the adaptation I made of Albert Camus’ ‘The Guest’ (L’Hôte), a project for which we got funding to make into a short film set in Mozambique, our homeland.
So far a few scenes were shot, and we think it should be ready towards the end of the year....
